WyneTyme was born out of a 20+ year friendship between ex-corporate colleagues turned entrepreneurs.
Frankly, we can’t believe it took us this long to come up with the idea, considering our backgrounds in technology and wine.
So many friends enjoy great wine, but don’t have time (or energy) to become “wine experts.” Wine shelves are overwhelming so often, they'd ask,
“Can you just pick wines for us?”
The personality of a wine should match the vibe of the experience (and, in our opinion, elevate it!). So, our first question is always what they plan to do and with whom.
The idea of matching wines to themes was a hit with our friends, so we decided to expand our circle of friends. (Hello, friend!)
WyneTyme makes it easy for everybody to enjoy extraordinary wines expertly chosen for the people and activities they love.
Silly Stuff
So... What's with the 'Y?'
Creative license, plain & simple. It’s no secret that wine is really in vogue, and, therefore, there are many wine sites. The simple answer is that we wanted a name that told people our specialty - wine for the best times in your life - and in a crowded field, we got creative on how to carve out our space on the interwebs.
If you don’t like that answer, we also tease each other that “Y” is for 'YESSSSSSSSSS!' (and when we're feeling *extra* 'YASSSSSS!' It’s also for 'YAY!,' 'YUMMY,' and 'YEEHAW!'
Should we keep going?
How about 'YOUNG-AT-HEART?' 'YEN?' 'YEET' and 'YOLO,' too.
You get the idea. :)
