Château Caronne Ste Gemme, Haut-Médoc (2018)
Médoc, Bordeaux, France
About the wine
A classic Left Bank gem that's as tender as it is powerful. Notes of raspberry, cassis, blackberry, pipe tobacco, and graphite unfurl on the palate while supple tannins round out the glorious texture. A true representation of all that's good in the Médoc.
"Some quite bold oak and lead pencil with ripe dark berries and plums in abundance. The palate has a firm array of rich and succulent tannins that drive a boldly flavored finish." - 92 points, James Suckling
Château Caronne Ste Gemme is one of the older estates in Médoc. In fact, its history can be dated all the way to the mid-1600s. The estate takes its name from a water source in the commune, Carona. Château Caronne Ste. Gemme began to gain notice as a wine producer following the French Revolution.
Pairs well with Beef, Lamb, and Venison.
The Château Caronne Ste Gemme, Haut-Médoc (2018) wine is currently part of the Paint It Red | Red Wine Collection offered exclusively by WyneTyme.
