About the wine

The history of Chianti is as old as the Tuscany region itself; monks are believed to be the first producers of the wine in the early 12th century. Chianti has since evolved over the centuries. Wine maker Luca Nesi continues to improve and refine its taste while maintaining its unique characteristics.

This Chianti is a true Tuscan, crafted from organically farmed Sangiovese Piccolo grapes, enhanced with a blend of organic Cabernet Sauvignon and Ancellotta organic certified grapes. The Sangiovese is cement aged for 12 months. The Cabernet and Ancellotta are aged in new French oak casks for 12 months. The varietals are then blended, bottled and aged an additional six months before release.

Clean, medium body. Elegant yet rustic with intense ripe fruit flavors, structured tannins, and a savory finish.
